The Commander Automatic Door Opener by Automatic Door and Hardware is a commercial-grade, low-energy automatic swing door operator engineered for dependable handicap accessibility, security integration, fire-rated openings, and everyday pedestrian traffic.
Designed for single commercial doors, the Commander combines an advanced microprocessor controller with a powerful electromechanical drive. Its non-handed design allows the operator to be configured for either push/outswing or pull/inswing applications, making it an exceptionally versatile solution for new installations and commercial door automation projects.
The Commander is designed to comply with commercial accessibility requirements while providing extensive adjustment, accessory power, electric lock integration, fire alarm interface capabilities, onboard diagnostics, and programmable operating functions in one compact header assembly.
The Commander is engineered specifically for commercial entrances requiring dependable ADA handicap access. When activated by a compatible knowing-act device such as a wall-mounted handicap push button, wireless push plate, or other approved activation device, the Commander automatically opens the door and provides the required low-energy opening cycle.
Factory settings are provided for ANSI/BHMA A156.19 opening speed and hold-open requirements, while opening speed, closing speed, hold-open time, and other operational parameters can be adjusted for the application.
