Stanley MC521 Pro First Initial Sequence (FIS) Setup

1) Unlock the Controller

Press and hold ENTER, navigate to parameter 99, release ENTER, then set the value to 00. This unlocks the keypad for programming.

2) Clear Existing Memory

Press and hold ENTER and navigate to parameter 96. Release ENTER and set the value to 01. The display will show A0, confirming memory has been cleared.

3) Set Motor Count

Navigate to parameter 00. Select 01 for a single motor or 02 for dual motors. Display will show A0.

4) Set Door Handing

Navigate to parameter 01. Select 01 for left-hand slide or 00 for right-hand slide.

5) Accept FIS Parameters

Navigate to parameter 03, press UP once. The display will show A1.

6) Configure Auto Lock (If Used)

Navigate to parameter 07. Select 00 for fail-safe or 01 for fail-secure electric locks.

7) Set Function Switch Type

Navigate to parameter 11. Select 01 for rocker switch or 00 for rotary switch.

8) Run Learn Cycle

Move the function switch to HOLD OPEN. Once the door starts moving, return the switch to CLOSED / OFF. Allow the door to complete two full open and close cycles.

9) Confirm FIS Completion

When complete, the display will show A2, confirming successful learning.

10) Lock the Controller

Navigate back to parameter 99 and set the value to 01. The controller is now locked and ready for service.
