The Yale 3800 Series Low Energy Automatic Door Opener was designed as an economical automatic swing door operator for converting existing interior manual doors into accessible automatic openings.
Designed primarily for light-duty interior, non-fire-rated applications, the Yale 3800 could be installed for push-side or pull-side operation and could be activated using compatible handicap push buttons, wall switches and radio-frequency devices.
The Yale 3800 was commonly used in offices, classrooms, dorm rooms, public restrooms, laboratories, examination rooms and other interior openings requiring ADA accessibility or convenient hands-free door operation.

The Yale 3800 Series was designed as an economical low energy automatic swing door operator for light-duty commercial applications. It provided a straightforward way to convert appropriate existing interior manual doors into ADA-accessible automatic openings.
The operator could be installed for push-side or pull-side mounting and featured a non-handed design. It could function manually or be activated using compatible wall switches, handicap push plates and radio-frequency activation devices.
When the door was manually opened, the operator could sense movement and automatically continue opening the door to the full-open position.
The operator incorporated obstruction detection to stop powered opening if the door encountered an obstruction.
An adjustable motor-start delay allowed compatible electric locking hardware time to release before the automatic opening cycle began.
