Stanley MC521 Pro Diagnostic Tool - Indexes, Status Codes, and Door States

Use this quick-reference guide to diagnose and configure Stanley MC521 / MC521 Pro automatic sliding doors. Click any item below to expand the meaning, common causes, and what to check next.

Display behavior note: If the current status code is 00 (Normal operation - All OK), the MC521 Pro will show the current door state. Otherwise, the controller alternates between showing the current status code and the door state.

1) Indexes and Settings (MC521 / MC521 Pro)

Important: Door must be cycled open for changes to be stored in permanent memory.

Tip: Use Ctrl+F / Cmd+F to find an index like 96, 97, 98, or 99.

00-89 Settings Values (Table 3)

Description: Standard adjustable settings including speeds, checks, torques, monitoring, delays, and other configuration values.

90-95 Reserved

Description: Reserved indexes - not typically used for field adjustment.

96 Command - Restart FIS

Action: Entering 01 will cause FIS to restart.

97 Firmware Display

Action: Entering 01 will display FE followed by two pairs of digits followed by FE.

Example: Firmware 0609 displays: FE - 06 - 09 - FE

98 Command - Restart Auto Configuration

Action: Entering 01 will cause auto configuration (learn cycle) to restart.

99 Command - Lock / Unlock Keypad

Lock: Entering 01 locks all value inputs except this index to prevent inadvertent changes.

Unlock: Entering 00 unlocks values so adjustments can be made.
