The Maverick HA8LP is our standard-duty commercial automatic door operator designed for the majority of everyday storefront applications. Its low-profile 4-1/8" x 5-1/8" header provides commercial-grade power and reliability in a more compact package.

Designed for doors weighing up to 300 lbs., the HA8LP combines a 1/8 HP electromechanical motor, high-precision gears, aluminum-alloy gearbox, heavy-duty sealed bearings and a digital control board for dependable long-term operation.

Unlike handed automatic door operators, the Maverick HA8LP is non-handed and is available for either push-side or pull-side applications, simplifying operator selection and providing greater installation flexibility.

Instead of purchasing the automatic operator, handicap push buttons, wireless transmitters and receiver separately, this package combines the major automatic door components into one convenient storefront retrofit solution.

Important: This is an automatic door opener retrofit package only. The aluminum storefront door, storefront frame, glass and existing door hardware are not included. Doors and frames may be shown in product images only to illustrate the intended application.

Designed for Your Existing Storefront Door

If you already have a properly functioning aluminum storefront door and frame, replacing the entire entrance may be unnecessary just to add automatic operation.

This package is designed to retrofit a compatible existing commercial storefront swing door with the Maverick HA8LP automatic operator and wireless handicap activation system.

Your existing storefront door, frame, glass, pivots or hinges and compatible door hardware remain part of the opening.

The Maverick HA8LP is added to provide automatic opening and controlled closing.

Non-Handed Design Simplifies Operator Selection

The Maverick HA8LP is non-handed, providing greater flexibility when configuring the operator for an existing commercial storefront entrance.

Instead of requiring a completely different operator based on left-hand or right-hand door handing, the HA8LP provides a universal operator platform that can be configured for the appropriate application.

The operator is available for both push-side and pull-side installations, depending on the direction of door swing and operator mounting location.

Push or Pull Side Installation

The Maverick HA8LP can be configured for either push-side or pull-side storefront door applications.

Push-Side Applications

In a push-side configuration, the operator arm pushes the storefront door away from the operator mounting side during automatic opening.

The HA8LP accommodates a push reveal up to 14 inches.

Pull-Side Applications

In a pull-side configuration, the operator uses the appropriate pull arm assembly to pull the door toward the operator mounting side.

The HA8LP accommodates a pull reveal up to 5 inches.

Maverick HA8LP Technical Specifications

Wireless Handicap Door Activation

This package includes two commercial handicap push buttons, providing automatic activation capability from both sides of the storefront entrance.

Each handicap push button uses a compatible 433 MHz wireless transmitter.

When either button is pressed, the transmitter sends an activation signal to the included wireless receiver connected to the Maverick HA8LP.

The receiver then signals the HA8LP to begin the automatic opening cycle.

Reduce Activation Wiring

Running new control wiring through an existing storefront entrance can be difficult, particularly when the surrounding walls and storefront construction are already finished.

The included wireless activation system allows the handicap push buttons to communicate wirelessly with the receiver at the operator, reducing the amount of activation wiring that needs to be routed through existing construction.

Built-In Electric Lock Control

Many commercial storefront doors use mechanical or electric locking hardware that must be released before an automatic operator can open the door.

The Maverick HA8LP includes a built-in strike / mag lock relay with support for compatible fail-safe or fail-secure locking applications.

The operator also provides 24 VDC electric strike power, allowing compatible electric locking hardware to be integrated into the automatic door system when required.

Electric strikes, magnetic locks and other electric locking hardware are not included with this standard package unless specifically stated otherwise.

Ready for Access Control Integration

The Maverick HA8LP is designed to integrate with compatible building access and security systems.

Separate inputs for activation and safety devices provide flexibility when combining the automatic operator with other components at the entrance.
