Heavy Duty Door Replacement

This commercial metal door slab is constructed from heavy duty 18 gauge steel with a full body polystyrene core. The metal door is galvannealed to help prevent rust and promote adhesion to paint. The door comes finished with a baked on rust inhibiting primer which can act as the finish coat or as a prime coat for paint.

How To Replace Your Hollow Metal Door

Replacement is as easy as removing the old, existing door from the frame. Remove the lever or knob handle from the door and the hinges. Install the hinges on the new replacement door. Hang the new door and then install the original lever or knob handle. Lever Handle Hole Prep

This metal door features a 161 prep, which is a cylindrical bored hole to accept all standard 2-3/4" backset commercial door lever handles and knobs.

How To Measure Backset

When checking the backcheck measure from the face of the door to the center line of the cylindrical lock hole. All commercial doors use a 2-3/4" backset as an industry standard.

To measure the lever handle hole location, measure from the top of the door to the center line of the cylindrical lock hole.

The Gladiator metal door is commercial industrial grade and manufactured from 18 gauge steel. The door is well insulated with a full body of polystyrene, providing energy efficiency to your building. Top and bottom caps provide additional structural integrity to the Gladiator metal door so that it will not bend or deflect. 12 gauge closer reinforcement as well as 7 gauge hinge reinforcement allows the Gladiator metal door to provide smooth opening and closing for years, without the hassle of the commercial door hardware breaking down.

Galvannealed and Rust Inhibiting Finish

Each Gladiator metal door and frame is Galvannealed, allowing it to help prevent rust. Additionally, each metal door and frame comes with a baked on prime coat finish. This primer is rust inhibiting also helping to prevent rust.

Insulated Core - Not Hollow Core!

Gladiator metal doors come with a premium insulating core known as polystyrene. Lower grade metal doors are not insulated or feature cardboard insulation known as honeycomb. Our polystyrene core will help maintain your building's energy year round. The insulated door will also provide more sound deadening than that of a hollow core metal door.
