How to Set Up a Besam UniSlide Automatic Sliding Door

1) Access the UniSlide control

Open the header and locate the UniSlide control box. Remove the control cover by taking out the single retaining screw. This gives you full access to the control board, wiring, dip switches, and adjustments.

2) Disconnect all field wiring

Before starting learn mode, disconnect external wiring from the control:

• Unplug any connectors connected between pins 1 through 16.
• Unplug the phone-jack style connector located between pins 3 and 4.

This temporarily removes activation devices, safety sensors, and accessories so the control can learn without interference.

3) Remove power from the operator

Unplug the power cord on the left-hand side of the UniSlide controller to fully power down the unit.

4) Manually position the door halfway open

With power removed, manually slide the door panel to the half-open position. This starting position is important for a proper learn cycle.

5) Restore power and let the door close

Plug power back in. The door will move slowly and return to the fully closed position. Allow it to close completely.

6) Initiate learn mode

Locate the white push button on the control board (left of the dip switches and below the adjustment potentiometers). Press and release the white button one time to begin learn mode.

7) Allow the door to complete the learn cycle

During learn mode, the door should slowly open fully and then slowly close fully. Do not activate sensors or manually move the door during the cycle.

8) Reconnect wiring and devices

After the learn cycle completes, reconnect all wiring and harnesses exactly as they were removed - activation devices, safety sensors, breakout switches, and accessories.

9) Verify operation

Trigger an activation and confirm the door opens at full speed, transitions properly through backcheck, and closes smoothly with correct latch check.
